Do you feel someone has to be involved in second life to fully understand it?

I would like to think that with enough explanation, someone could grasp what Second Life is all about, but generally I think someone has to experience it. It is difficult to communicate the immersive feel of the space verbally.

    It's been my experience that people not in Second Life don't understand Second Life. And I don't think it's because I am not any good at explaining it. Even when I SHOW them they don't quite get it. And to be completely honest, I'm not sure I got it before I was here for a while. (After I got through that addictive phase.)
